The ancient and long-revered tradition of Tantrism is synonymous with the true heart of Western Alchemy. Both seek to transform the initiated student into the ultimate fulfillment of human existence: a purified soul, marked by the spontaneous expression of pure and selfless compassion.

Tantra is Sanskrit for "continuum" or "unbroken stream." This refers first (1) to the continuum of vital energy that sustains all existence, and second (2) to the class of knowledge and practices that harnesses that vital energy, thereby transforming the practitioner.

In this course we will introduce the work and requirements of the Spiritual Path, and the methods to harness the Vital forces necessary to reach self Realization. This course will unveil the Six Yogas of Naropa in a way that has never been publicly revealed.

Gnosis
Universal Wisdom for the End of Suffering
An Introductory Course in Practical Gnosticism

Once every year or so we are able to offer a more in depth course in Gnostic Esotericism. We call this course the 1st Chamber; it runs in two phases, the first phase being open to the general public and the second phase being open only to those who have completed the first phase.

This course will introduce the esoteric principles needed by every aspirant of the Light, regardless of race, creed, sex or financial means. Each class will include lecture, meditation practice and additional exercises to help the student enter into the relationship between the Consciousness and the Inner Being and between the Inner Being and the Consciousness, a sacred and personal relationship we call Gnosis.

Each person will be given the tools apply the timeless teachings of Gnosis to his or her life so as to experience first hand the presence and the compassion of the Divinity that lies within.

The 17 weeks of Phase 1 will cover such topics as:

             * Introduction to Gnosis?          
           * Practical Methods to Bring About Inner Change
           * The Ego, the Personality and the Consciousness
           * The Mysteries of Life and Death
           * Alchemy and Kabbalah
           * Karma: The Divine Law
           * The Positive Awakening of the Consciousness.

Phase 2, an additional 16 classes covering:
 
           * The Origin of Man
           * The Origin of Suffering and Its Solution
           * Gnostic Esotericism
           * The Tree of Life
           * The Use and Expansion of Psychic and Sexual Energy
           * Astral Projection
           * The Age of Aquarius

This series of 33 lectures serves as a preparation for the deeper esoteric work of the Meditation Chamber.

Drop-In Meditation:
Weekly group meditation practice
Drop-In Meditation will resume Monday Nights @ 5:30 on September 14th.














This meditation is open to all ages and all levels, and will cover the practical techniques of Concentration and Relaxation, as well as Prayer, Mantric Vocalization and Pranayama. Registration is not necessary.
 
Please take a moment to review meditation ettiquette before attending:
  •            Arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time.
 
  •            Enter the room in quietly; there will be time to talk after we meditate.

  •            There will be a brief introduction for those new to meditation.
 
  •            Sit and find a comfortable position in which you can remain still for 45 minutes.
 
  •            Threes bells begins the practice. Please make an effort to remain completely physically still after the            third bell is rung.
 
  •            Two bells ends the practice. After the final bell is rung and candle is put out, quietly write in your journal what you observed during the session.
 
  •            If you like, stay for discussion, tea and snacks!
